Dortmund puts a ‘scary’ price on Haaland

Erling Haaland will undoubtedly be a benchmark in the next market session, but Borussia Dortmund, who own the Norwegian talent card, have no plans to give discounts. The 21-year-old striker has scored 32 goals in 31 appearances this season, 10 goals in just 6 Champions League games.

His manager, Mino Raiola, revealed a few weeks ago that there are 10 clubs ready to fight for his services, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But the price will be stratospheric.

From the United States, ESPN has revealed that Dortmund will ask for 180 million euros for its “ace”.

Haaland has a release clause that expires in 2022, predicted when, in December 2019, Dortmund paid €20 million to oust him from Salzburg.

Until the clause expires, the yellows will dictate the price, in the hope that no club will knock on the door of Dortmund.

The German team has already implemented the same strategy last year with midfielder Jadon Sancho to “defend himself” from the attacks of the “Red Devils”.
