Even Tuchel is not getting Werner out of the crisis
“The arrival of coach Thomas Tuchel has helped me a lot. The coach has a lot of ideas about football and I needed someone to shout at me in German.”
This is what Chelsea striker Timo Werner said a while ago to welcome his compatriot, Tuchel. In fact, with Tuchel’s appointment, everyone thought that Werner would return to scoring, but this is not the case.
In the last match, against Everton, the British media write that the number one of the London blue bench was often seen criticizing the striker for his poor performance.
Tuchel’s words were: “Timo, don’t you see yourself staying 15 minutes only on the left arm, what do you not understand?”
A few minutes after these words, Chelsea managed to score, but the goal did not come from Timo Werner.
It seems the striker has some kind of stalemate in his game. Chelsea spent 55 million euros for the German, but he is not meeting the expectations. In 37 games so far with the London Blues shirt, Werner has found only 10 times the net.
It is not a small number, but the club leaders expect more from him. He may not have adapted to the Premier League yet and he still needs some time, but the situation of the striker at Chelsea is not one of the best.
