“Everyone criticises Man Utd but Arsenal don’t get a mention”

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw believes his team is being unfairly attacked by critics, saying Arsenal are not facing the same criticism despite their poor form and difficulty.

Both teams have fallen in recent seasons, lagging far behind their rivals for a top-flight spot in the Premier League.

United, unbeaten in their last three league games, rank ninth in the table with six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, while Arsenal rank 11th before meeting Newcastle this Sunday.

Arsenal have drawn in their last four games.

United have consistently faced heavy criticism for the 2013 Premier League downturn, but Shaw feels the strikes are excessive.

“I had to not take (the criticism) close to my heart. Sometimes it’s easy for people to forget what I’ve been through, “Shaw told the Mirror.

“To play at the best club in the world United have to be insensitive because everyone is watching and wanting to criticize you when you lose. “People are always waiting to criticize when something goes wrong, but that’s when he plays for United.”

“With all due respect to Arsenal, which is a fantastic club but is not having a great season yet no one mentions it. I find it funny that if it is United, everybody is criticized, but they don’t even mention Arsenal,” he said.
