Federer Moves Into Australian Open Quarterfinals
Roger Federer has reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, following a comeback win over Marton Fucsovics in the fourth round on Sunday in Melbourne.
The six-time Australian Open champion beat the Hungarian 3-1 with 4: 6, 6: 1, 6: 2, 6: 2.
The 38-year-old Swiss will face American Tennys Sandgren in the Eighth Circuit on Tuesday.
After losing the first set, Federer was unstoppable, easily winning the next three sets.
“I started the second set well and from there things got easier for me,” Federer said after the game.
