Hazard expected to miss El Clasico after fracturing ankle
About two weeks before El Clasico’s December 18th, Real Madrid are still anxious over the physical condition of their star Eden Hazard, who has not yet recovered from a knee injury following a Champions League injury last week.
The Belgian striker was pictured walking on crutches Wednesday night at a Christmas dinner with Real Madrid teammates.
They were signs that worried many of Hazard’s supporters, who feared he would not be able to play against Barcelona on December 18, after suffering a knee injury in a match against Paris Saint-Germain.
Hazard was brought by his compatriot, Thibaut Courtois, to the Philandon restaurant and appeared to have great difficulty moving.
He was unable to drive himself or stand up to take pictures at the restaurant, which suggests that he could not exert any weight on his right ankle.
This casts serious doubt on his appearance against Barca at Camp Nou.
