IFFHS chooses Barcelona the best club of the decade
Barcelona in first place, Real Madrid in second and Bayern Munich in third.
This is the podium of the best clubs in the world in the last decade, according to IFFHS, the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
This is the second time that Barcelona is rated as the best club of the decade, as it is ranked first for the period 2001-2010.
In essence, this international ranking crowns Messi’s team the best of the last 20 years.
Barca, IFFHS points out, has been the strongest club in three of the last ten years, but the last time was in 2015; Real has succeeded twice (last, in 2017), like Bayern Munich, which was on the roof of the World in the last season 2019-2020, not forgetting 2012-2013.
Three are Spanish clubs in the top 10, four are English, one French (PSG) and one Italian (Juventus).
