“I’m a technical, physical, fast, strong and intelligent player”
Barcelona have finally officially transferred the long-awaited attacking striker, Martin Christensen Braithwaite, as a replacement for the injured, Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez.
Braithaite has signed a contract with the Catalan club until 2024.
Barca have paid Leganes 18 million euros for the Danish services, which was the sum of his release clause.
Of course, at the age of 28, he realized a dream he could hardly have ever imagined, so the joy is indescribable.
“I’m so excited to be here, it’s a dream come true. Everyone who plays football, dreams of one day playing for Barça and here I am. I want to win a lot of trophies,” said Braithwaite.
“I am a technical player, also a physical, strong player and I can say that my character or my strongest point is that I am wise. I’m a scorer and I hope to score a lot of goals.”
The 28-year-old will have a clause in his contract with Barcelona worth 300 million euros.
After weeks of frustration, Quique Setien will finally have one more striker in his options ahead, though not in the caliber of a club as Barcelona are looking for.
