Inter deny Eriksen transfer discussions with Tottenham

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has been rumored for a move to Inter, but Real Madrid chief executive Giuseppe Marotta insists there has been no contact between the two clubs.

Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham is set to expire at the end of the season, but Inter are reportedly ready to spend 20 million euros to move the Danish forward this month.

Barcelona’s Arturo Vidali is also reportedly being sought by Inter and chief executive Marotta have confirmed that they are keen to strengthen the squad with a midfielder and a side striker during the interim.

However, Marotta denied speculation that Inter are in talks with Tottenham over Eriksen’s transfer.

“Inter are often speculated for high quality players and this is praise for us but we have not contacted Tottenham,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italian.

“Eriksen is a talented player, I don’t need to tell you this. He will be free from his club in June. I think many clubs are interested in him, but I can’t say we are in talks with the club or his agent.”
