Koeman: Fortunately, Messi is still Barcelona
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman had no words to describe another great performance of Lionel Messi in La Liga, but admitted that the Catalans are lucky that Lionel Messi did not leave in the summer.
Messi scored two stunning goals in Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Huesca, coming out on top of the list of top scorers in La Liga this season with 20 in total.
Thanks to this victory, Barca approaches the leader Atletico Madrid in only four points, in what is turning out to be a hot battle for the title.
Speaking after the match, Koeman said: “I think Messi has proved that he is the best. The first goal was fantastic. He deserves to be important to this team.”
“More can not be said about him. He is the most important player in the history of the club. Fortunately, he is still with us.” he added.
