Koeman suffers another embarrassing loss to Barcelona
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has admitted that Paris Saint-Germain proved they are a much better team than the Catalan giants by defeating them 4-1 in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League at Camp Nou.
After Messi gave the locals the lead with a goal from the penalty spot in the first half, PSG came back terribly, completely destroying the Catalan team.
Kylian Mbappe scored the hat-trick, while the other goal for the Parisians was scored by Moise Kean.
This result gives Mauricio Pochettino’s team a very big advantage for the return match in Paris.
“Obviously this result reflects their superiority. They were effective. The first half was more equal. In the second half we had problems in defense. We did not defend well against their attacks.” Koeman said.
He added: “We have to admit that especially in the second half they were superior to us. They proved that they have a more complete team than us. We have to accept it.”
