Lewandowski aims to break Ronaldo’s record tonight against Tottenham

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski aims to get into Champions League history tonight during Tottenham’s visit to the Allianz Arena.

The Polish star needs two goals against Jose Mourinho’s squad to set the record for most goals in group gas in the Champions League – a record held by Cristiano Ronaldo since the 2015/16 season.

The Portuguese star had scored 11 goals in Real Madrid’s shirt that season.

Bayern and Tottenham will meet in the final group match but have nothing to play for, as both have secured a pass among the top 16 in the Champions League.

But Lewa has what it takes to play tonight, with two goals at least, he will break the record for most goals from a group stage player in a Champions League edition.

Lewandowski has 10 goals in five Champions League games this season.
