Lewandowski injured, absent against England

Robert Lewandowski will miss Poland’s match against England in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Robert Lewandowski’s match against Andorra lasted 63 minutes. Enough to score a goal in Poland’s 3-0 victory in the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup.

On Wednesday, Paulo Sousa’s national team will be called up for a confrontation at Wembley against England, but the former Fiorentina coach will have to do without his bomber.

The Polish Football Federation, through an official note, has in fact communicated that “Robert Lewandowski will not play in the qualifying match in London due to an injury. Clinical tests have shown damage to the collateral ligament of the right knee.”

Bayern Munich is also anxious, because on April 6 they will challenge PSG in the first quarterfinal match of the Champions League.

“The short time for the next match of the national team excludes the participation of the captain against England. This would involve an excessive risk of injury deterioration. This decision is the only right one, considering the next tournament “Euro 2020”. Treatment of this type of injury usually lasts from 5 to 10 days. “Therefore, he will return to the club, where he will undergo further rehabilitation,” the Polish federation announced.

Hansi Flick and the Bavarian fans are in anxiety. They need the best Lewandowski to beat PSG.
