Man United legend pleads for Liverpool to fail in the Premier League

Former Manchester United legendary side defender Gary Neville says his year will be the best of the long run if Liverpool fail to compete for the Premier League title, despite currently holding an impressive lead.

As a legend at Old Trafford, Gary Neville knows well the rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United. During his time, he had enjoyed many successes, and now the “Red Devils” are stuck in a crisis, while Liverpool are enjoying good results.

Liverpool are well on their way to winning their first Premier League title in history. But despite an eight-point lead after the first 13 laps of the season, the former defender hopes Jurgen Klopp’s sons will fail in their next games.

“If they abuse this now, it’s going to be one of the best years I’ve had in Sky!” Said Neville, who has now become famous as an analyst on sports television in the UK, Sky Sports.

“Honestly, it would be a great experience to see this happen – to see them with my own eyes as they lose a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.”

“In fact I hope they will be ahead by 12 points in March and then lose the races too late.”

“But I have to say that they have shown good form over the last two years, have been playing football as the title winners for two years now and I have accumulated so many points that in any other season they would have they were champions.”

“However, Manchester City is far below where it should be. Liverpool will have to work hard to win the title now that they have come so close. They have to think it’s their year.”
