Manchester City reduce the offer for Leo Messi
Manchester City tried to persuade Lionel Messi to transfer to the “Etihad Stadium” that last summer and the English media reported that the Argentine star received a really tempting offer of 600 million pounds for a period of 4 years.
It was an offer to play two seasons with the ‘citizens’ jersey and two more in the United States, with the other club owned by the company from Qatar, New York City.
However, the economic crisis has had its effect on even the richest clubs and “The Sun” reports that Manchester City has reduced the offer to Messi by 170 million pounds, announcing to his managers that they can not go beyond 430 million pounds.
This move of the team from Manchester can affect the race to get the services of the Argentine star, as the “citizens” will have to duel until the end with Paris Saint Germain, who has also openly expressed interest in Messi.
The Argentine star himself seems increasingly convinced to leave Barcelona, ??as the Catalan club is experiencing a period of chaos and economic difficulties and returning to the trophy race would take several years.
Lionel Messi’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of this season and so far no attempt has been made to renew, so the club that will convince the Argentine, will receive his card for free.
