Manchester United qualifies for the FA CUP quarterfinals

Manchester United narrowly eliminated West Ham 1-0 to qualify for the FA Cup quarterfinals. For this victory of United they had to play 120 minutes of play after the regular time ended with a draw 0-0.

Manchester United have qualified for the FA Cup quarter-finals in England after beating West Ham, in a match that they dominated since the beginning.

The first occasion for the Red Devils was in the 16th minute when Mason Greenwood missed a good chance to score where his header ended up on goal.

Van de Beek would have had an ideal opportunity to score in the 28th minute after a super cross from Lindelof’s corner kick but the keeper made a great save.

With these two cases, the first half ends with a result of 0-0.

In the second half Rashford would launch a strong kick in the 53rd minute but Fabianski received it.

By the end of the match, although there were close to 14 attempts, United failed to score and the match went on with extra time.

Scott McTominay was the hero of this match as he scored the goal in the 98th minute after a perfect assist by Rashford.

West Ham managed to be dangerous only in the 115th minute of this match where Benrahma hit his head but goalkeeper Henderson made a brilliant reception.

This victory sends United to the FA Cup quarter-finals in England.
