Mane ready to ‘sacrifice’ himself for Liverpool
Sadio Mane wants to add another Premier League and Champions League gold to his Liverpool collection and says he will not rest until he reaches that goal.
The last 12 months have been memorable for Liverpool, as the Reds have triumphed in the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have also secured a 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with two games less developed than their opponents, and are expected to end their 30-year wait to become champions of England this season.
However, Mane says he will not underestimate anyone and nothing until Liverpool secure their Premier League and Champions League titles this season.
“Until the team is successful and I am successful, I think it is necessary to sacrifice myself and give everything possible for the team. The team will return this I believe, every player,” said the 27-year-old.
“Of course we achieved great things last year, but we want to achieve even more this year with this club. We want to win trophies – Premier League, Champions League. That won’t be easy, we all know.”
“But we have seen over the last few years that anything is possible and we can achieve this again and again. We just have to be hungry for good and push ourselves to the end.”
