Materazzi responds to Ibrahimovic: Thanks Zlatan, thanks to you we won the triplet
Inter hero Marco Materazzi responded in style to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s comments, thanking the Swede who left for Barcelona and won the triplet afterwards.
Ibrahimovic said in an interview with GQ that he was happy to have Materazzi hospitalized with a fierce Milan-Inter derby in 2012, avenging the Italian for a 2006 incident.
The former Inter defender has responded to the Swede now with sarcastic comments.
He posted a picture of the team winning the triplet in 2009/10, with captain Javier Zanetti holding the Champions League trophy in hand, the only trophy Ibrahimovic dreams of having in his illustrious career.
“I came … I saw … I conquered …” Materazzi wrote in Zlatan-style.
“Always and in any case, THANK YOU, Ibrahimovic. Without you, we would never have won,” he added.
Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona in the summer before Inter won the triplet, in an exchange deal with Samuel Eto’o, whom Materazzi has tagged in the post, of course.
