Messi does not intend to retire anytime soon
The biggest fear of all those associated with Barcelona is the day Lionel Messi decides to hang his shoes on the nail, but the Argentine superstar has no intention of retiring in the near future.
His comments after winning the Ballon d’Or for the sixth time in Paris on Monday raised the alarm for his fans as he talked about age and how the years were going.
“I know how old I am. I’m enjoying these moments a lot because I know retirement is coming. Time flies,” Messi said in Paris.
“I hope, God willing, I will continue to play for many more years. I’m 32 now, 33 at the end of the season, but as I said, it all depends on how I feel physically,” Messi added.
“At the moment I feel better than ever before physically and I hope I will continue to do so for a long time,” he said.
