“Messi is a miracle but Ronaldo is superhuman”

Former Real Madrid and Argentina striker Valdano says that with football academies getting players at a very young age, street players will soon become a thing of history.

Former Real Madrid and Argentina striker Jorge Valdano says the next genius in football should be more than a “superstar” like Cristiano Ronaldo and a “miracle” like Lionel Messi.

The 1986 World Cup winner agrees that the Argentine is a special type, and future soccer superstars must have physical attributes like Ronaldo and less than the Barcelona striker.

Now working as a commentator on Spanish football, Valdono believes that a player of Messi’s construction and talent will not see the future in football anytime soon.

“Messi is the opposite of everything,” Valdano told Tiempo. “Being a genius, he can change everything. He has the power of a hero, a superhero. ”

“This week he released a statement on Instagram responding to Eric Abidal, the technical secretary who had criticized some players for various reasons – he caused an earthquake in Barcelona.”

“Then, on the field, he has the power to deploy any team. He puts three of the last four scores with his influence. He has become much more discreet and knows his powers. ”

“There’s only one Messi,” he added. “He works hard for what is to come. Considering that a genius is born every 15-20 years, the next one I think will have more of an academic background.”

“Messi is formally a miracle; He possesses his talents both on the street and in academia.”

“By the time I was 13, I grew up in Argentina, with an informal education, then moved to Barcelona where I learned how to play attractive football – but it was more than formal.”

“The streets have disappeared from training for football players today. There are still poor areas in South America that come out of this area.”

“The next Messi should be more like Cristiano Ronaldo than Messi, physically more supernatural, more competitive, the hero of course, but a little different.”

The Barcelona captain has become the second player in Europe to score double-digit goals and assists in the top European leagues where he assisted three times for Real Betis last night.
