“Messi is from another planet, Hazard would be above Ronaldo if he was not so lazy”
John Obi Mikel has played and won at Chelsea with Eden Hazard, whom he describes as one of the best footballers in the world.
The Nigerian midfielder has revealed to The Athletic the conversations he had with the Belgian star, who would have achieved even more if he wasn’t so lazy.
“I have always said that Hazard is one of the most talented players in the world. Eden has it all: speed, potency and technique. To me he comes after Messi and Ronaldo. He always told me he wanted to and could be just as good as the two of them.
Not as much as Messi, as Leo belongs to another planet, but thought he could become better than Cristiano Ronaldo. He did say it, but Eden has always been lazy. I have not known any player who is less dedicated to training. On Mondays and Tuesdays he said he was not present, just walking to training. Everyone was fighting and screaming in training, Eden was not worried at all. But when the match came, it was a great pleasure to see him play. It is not fair that some people are so talented,” said Obi Mikel.
