Milan is looking for a replacement for Donnarumma
Milan are in talks to renew Gigio Donnarummas’s contract, but according to some reports in Italy, the Rossoneri are also considering possible replacements for the Italian player.
The six million-euro-a-year deal expires in June and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri have offered the 22-year-old a new deal of eight million a year.
The player’s agent Mino Raiola did not even accept or reject the proposal, but took time before deciding.
Milan consider the extension of Donnarumma’s contract as their priority, but some reports in Italy suggest that the club is also considering possible replacements for the Italian player.
Mike Maignan of LOSC Lille, Juan Musso of Udinese and Pierluigi Gollini of Atalanta have emerged as concrete transfer targets for the Devil, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The newspaper reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an admirer of Maignan after the Frenchman played for PSG youth teams when Ibra was playing in the Princes’ Park.
Sky Sport confirms that Lille goalkeeper is on Milan’s radar and the same is true for Alphonse Areola who is currently on loan at Fulham from PSG.
As for Musso and Gollini, the price that Udinese and Atalanta are asking for is around 30 million euros for both goalkeepers.
If Donnarumma fails to sign a contract renewal, one of them could replace him in Milan in the 2021-22 edition.
