Minimal triumph of Milan in the challenge to Verona

With a minimal lead of 1-0, Milan have won Hellas Veronas in Sunday night’s match at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

The challenge did not start well for the locals, as in the 21st minute of the meeting, after consulting with VAR, referee Gianluca Manganiello red carded Mariusz Stepinski.

However, in the first half, the Rossoneri did not manage to prove dangerous to score in the opposing goal.

In the second half, the guests began to increase their stakes as the referee awarded a penalty for a hand-held touch by a local defender.

Krzysztof Piatek took charge and struck from the white point, and though he touched the ball, goalkeeper Marco Silvestri failed to stop it (68 ?).

The Milan striker put the ball into the net in the 83rd minute, but the referee canceled the goal after reviewing with VAR.

This is the second win of the season for AC Milan, which is six points behind in three weeks, while for Hellas Veronan it is the first loss after recording a win and a draw.

In the next round, the Rossoneri play for Inter, with Verona playing as a Juventus guest.
