Morata talks about his and Ronaldo’s future at Juventus
Juventus’ performance in the last month has left much to be desired. The Whites were initially eliminated by Porto in the 1/8 round of the Champions League, giving up the major target this season, while last weekend suffered a shocking loss to Benevento at the Allianz Stadium, a defeat that keeps them 10 points away from Inter. leading and severely undermines the other objective which is that of winning the 10th consecutive title in Serie A.
One of the players who came to Juventus with the most fuss last summer, Alvaro Morata is also one of the players who has been put up for discussion with the Spaniard who could leave again at the end of this season. As in recent months it has not met at all the expectations of managers and technical staff. And Juventus may not buy his card from Atletico Madrid. But despite the bad moment, Morata feels good with the whites and hopes to stay as he said in an interview.
“When you are on loan at a club, your opinion is not worth much. I was happy at Atletico Madrid and I am also very happy at Juventus. At the moment I have not talked to the executives about the future, but I have a contract until the end of the season and I want to respect it to the maximum. We are at the beginning of a new project and I want to continue playing for Juventus”, underlined the striker who came out of the Real Madrid academy.
Morata then started talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, about the Portuguese’s state of mind and his future.
“Everyone has criticized us, this naturally bothers us. I do not want to explain who Cristiano Ronaldo is, he always wants to defend the Juventus jersey. He is not calm, this is also due to the fact that a player like him is used to playing in the Champions League finals. However the problem does not lie with Juventus as CR7 is happy with the group and his state of mind would be the same at another club, as a player like Ronaldo who is used to winning is always upset when things do not go well. But I think he is happy at Juventus and wants to stay,” added Morata at the end of his interview.
