Mourinho: Chelsea could lose big club status
Jose Mourinho had some interesting words for Chelsea after losing to Liverpool 1-2 in the sixth week of the Premier League.
The Portuguese coach who is currently working as an analyst at Sky Sports has said that fans of The Blues may be tired of this situation and may not consider it a big club.
“I hope they don’t get used to it and consider Chelsea a small club, that’s the main thing,” Mourinho said.
“When you start to accept the losses that your team played well and the players did their best and that the fans enjoyed that performance, then you get used to those things and stop being a big club.”
“You have to show the real situation, but don’t say those things about good performance after you’ve lost,” the Portuguese added in response to Frank Lampard.
The London coach said after the match that his team was better than Liverpool in the second half and the fans applauded for that performance.
