Mourinho: “Do I need 300 million euros? No, I don’t need more players”

Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho has insisted his squad is full and he does not need to buy other players during the January transfer window.

Since taking over the club from London, Mourinho has renewed his fortunes, leading to five victories in seven games, including four in five Premier League games.

These results are the opposite of the poor form Tottenham were undergoing under Mauricio Pochettino at the start of the season. But the Portuguese has been able to get the best out of a group of players who last season reached the Champions League final.

Mourinho says to be happy with the players ahead of the winter.

“I’m relaxed because I got this club the way I expected,” Mourinho said.

“I expect to be asked about Daniel Levy that we don’t plan on spending too much and to ask if I’m angry. Will this make me angry? No. I knew, he had told me. Everything has been crystal clear. There is no secret and that makes me happy,” he added.

“Would I like to spend 300 million euros in January? No. I don’t need players in January,” he said.
