Mourinho: “I hate racism”
The racism experienced by Antonio Rudiger during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday has made Spurs coach Jose Mourinho extremely sad.
Germany’s Rudiger has been the target of racist calls from Tottenham fans in the Premier League on Sunday after being involved in a red card incident with Son Heung.
Rudiger informed match officials about alleged racist abuse and consequently fans were urged to improve their behavior.
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard has confirmed that they have reported the case to Premier League officials, while Tottenham have launched their own investigation into the case.
Mourinho feels frustrated by what happened at his team’s stadium.
“I have nothing more to say than this saddens me. I hate racism in society, I hate racism in football, “Mourinho said.
“I am disappointed that things are still happening, but the referee stopped the game. He spoke to the players, spoke to the captains and spoke to the coaches, “he added.
