Mourinho predicts what position United will end up this season
Jose Mourinho thinks Manchester United will end up between four and sixth in the Premier League this season after failing to finish in the top two.
The Red Devils finished sixth last season, qualifying for the Europa League but failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Mourinho has said United are unlikely to rival Manchester City and Liverpool in the title race, while finding it difficult to qualify for the Champions League.
“I think the objectives should be clear to everyone. What are United’s goals? From the outside, I think they will end up in the fourth and sixth place. “
“That’s my opinion and I don’t think they’re capable of fighting for the top two, they’re not at that level.”
“I say it would be a great achievement for them if they end up in the top four and return to the Champions League,” the Portuguese added.
Mourinho was sacked by United in December last year, replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who now works as an analyst at Sky Sports.
