‘Neymar is very sensitive’: Tuchel praises PSG star for penalty gesture

Neymar gave Edinson Cavani the opportunity to score from the penalty spot and, according to Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel, this proves that the French team works as one.

Paris Saint-Germaini closed the road in Group A of the Champions League by securing a 5-0 win over Galatasaray in the Parc des Princes match on Wednesday.

The Brazilian star, Neymari, was in the spotlight in the match after assisting two goals and scoring another. He could have scored two goals after PSG were awarded a penalty, but the Brazilian handed the ball to Cavan, who proved accurate from the 11-meter mark.

“It was a good gesture. Everyone can see, Neymar is very sensitive. He gave the ball to Ed and is a good symbol for the team, “Tuchel said at the post-match press conference.

“Neymar is already very important and crucial for us, but he is getting better. He worked hard today, won many balls and defended well for us. He is finding his form and everything is easier for him now.”

Cavani and Neymari were caught for a penalty in a match against Lyon just shortly after the Brazilian’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. Cavani had fired that penalty but missed it.
