Perez: We tried to transfer Lewandowski and Pogbas several times, but nothing happened

Florentino Perez admitted that Real Madrid had tried to sign Paul Pogba over the summer, just as they have tried to sign Robert Lewandowski in recent years.

The Madrid president explained that despite attempts by the two-player clubs to completely refuse their sale, making the task impossible.

“There are players that are not for sale,” President Florentino said initially.

“We tried Lewandowski for a few years and nothing happened because he has no clause and Bayern Munich didn’t sell him.”

“There is no way. This has happened to Pogba as well. When certain players can be sold, we can try for them. “

Florentino also addressed the problems the club faced last season, and admitted that mistakes had been made.

“We had nine Golden Ball candidates and a team worth 1.2 billion euros.”

“Last year the problem was not one player, but everyone’s mindset.”

“Significant players have been signed, [Eden] Hazard among them,” Perez concluded.
