Pioli: We made a lot of mistakes even without being under pressure
Stefano Pioli admits that the Europa League left Milan exhausted in the loss to Napoli. The Rossoneri were defeated 0: 1 by the team of their former coach and footballer, Gattuso.
The Rossoneri were visibly tired after Thursday’s Europa League draw with Manchester United and had multiple injuries.
“The team was competitive. We were facing a quality opponent, it was a complicated first part, we made many mistakes even without being under pressure. This was our border tonight,” Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
Milan are nine points behind Inter and just one point ahead of Juventus in the Serie A standings.
