Portugal coach Fernando Santos reveals Ronaldo ‘biggest career goal’
Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos has said that Cristiano Ronaldo will not think about individual goals and his biggest goal is to win the World Cup with his national team.
Portugal will face Azerbaijan in Turin next week, and the team will train at the Juventus training center.
“I am sure Cristiano is very motivated, not just because he scored goals,” Fernando Santos initially told A Bola.
The 36-year-old scored a hat-trick against Cagliari last week. He has 23 goals in as many Serie A games so far this season.
“Cristiano has an additional motive when he represents the National Team. “I am sure he will come with the same ambition, not thinking about personal goals, but focusing on those of the national team.”
“I know he has a big dream to take part in this goal, which is to play in the World Cup and be able to win it. This is the main objective “, concluded the coach of Portugal.
Meanwhile, speculation about Ronaldo’s future continues, with Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno refusing to rule out a return of the striker to the Santiago Bernabeu.
