Portugal gets 3 points in the match against Azerbaijan
Only one goal was scored in the match between Portugal and Azerbaijan, valid for the qualifying phase of the World Cup.
Although the host team was considered a big favorite, the Portuguese were content with one goal to collect all three points.
In fact, it was an own goal scored in the 36th minute by Maksim Medvedev that enabled the victory for the locals.
The second half did not produce goals, despite the fact that the Portuguese created numerous scoring chances.
The three points will serve Portugal in Group A qualifying for ‘Qatar 2022’.
