PSG want Neymar’s contract to close before April 28
Paris Saint-Germain has a goal this spring: to sign the two stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe with new contracts.
They have built a plan and have a result in mind, but there may be problems along the way, as Mbappe, it seems, has not made up his mind to stay still in the French capital.
Neymar, on the other hand, and as reported in L’Equipe, is believed to be already in advanced contract negotiations with the PSG leadership.
So much so that the club hopes to be able to announce the extension of his contract, which is expected to be until 2027 – before the first match of the Champions League with Manchester City on April 28.
PSG hopes to close the first half, to then dedicate themselves to Mbappe, to convince him to stay.
The president of the club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi declared after their victory in the Champions League against Bayern Munich that Mbappe and Neymar have no reason to leave.
He had said the same after the victory against Barcelona.
L’Equipe writes that Mbappe and his agents have been bombarded with calls in recent weeks by the club.
The last offer is said to be a salary increase which would see the 22-year-old receive around 30 million euros a year, with his contract extended until 2024.
