Rashford does not rule out leaving United

The English striker continues to be committed to the Red Devils team but has admitted he does not rule out leaving England at a certain stage

Marcus Rashford has not ruled out leaving Manchester United at a certain stage, with the 23-year-old who is open to play outside of England as well. The striker who can play in several attacking positions is a product of the United Academy and so far has had 270 appearances for his club since coming on stage as a teenager.

He has a contract with United until 2023 and is not looking to leave soon, but the option to play outside has not been ruled out, showing he has an ambitious character. I would never say no,” he said when asked by The Guardian if he would play abroad.

“Which club after United? “I am a big fan of Real Madrid and Barcelona because they always have great players and play attractive football,” said the Englishman when asked which club he likes after United.

“Everyone looks at Real Madrid and Barcelona.”

While there is no writing that Rashford could leave United in the near future, he is eager to continue for his individual but also team successes. He is looking to learn Spanish and Italian, while aiming to get a degree in political science outside of sports, which will be a good opportunity for him in the future.

“Growing up, I learned a language that was not very important in school. There was no expectation from me about this. Football has given me the opportunity to travel to different countries, so you have some places you love and want to learn more about them, learning their language is part of that.”

At the moment, Rashford’s focus is to end the 2020-21 season with a victory, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team looking to win a trophy after four years where they will face Villarreal in the Europa League final on 26 May.
