“Real is the boss of the Champions League” – Sahin says that Zidane’s team will reach the final
Nuri Sahin believes that his former club, Real Madrid, will beat Chelsea and advance to the Champions League final on Wednesday.
The Turkish midfielder does not rule out the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain achieving a dramatic comeback against Manchester City in the next semifinal this week.
Tuesday and Wednesday promise to be two stunning nights in the elite European club race.
Real and Chelsea drew 1: 1 in the first match last week in Madrid, while City is the big favorite to reach the first final of the Champions League, after winning the first match 2: 1 in Paris.
Sahin, who reached the Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund in 2013, spent a season with the Real jersey in the 2011/12 edition and believes that Zinedine Zidane’s boys have the qualities and experience to surpass Chelsea.
Speaking about Goal, Sahin said: “I think it will be an open match, as was the first match. I can’t wait to see it.”
“Both teams are in a good moment. Chelsea are playing very well under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel. Maybe it is the team that is playing the best football tactically at the moment”, he added.
“But on the other hand, we have the boss of the Champions League, Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane! “I wish them luck and I think they will succeed.”
