Real Madrid achieved a great record in the Champions League after the match against Atalanta
Real Madrid became the first team to play in 100 knockout stages directly in the Champions League when they won the trip to Atalanta.
It has been 25 years since Raul Gonzalez help Los Blancos win their first game against Juventus in their first appearance in the knockout stages of the renewed race.
The 13-time European champions have passed the group stage in all 25 of their Champions League seasons – a unique record.
Real Madrid is also the first (and so far only) team to have achieved and passed 50 wins in the knockout stage, although Bayern is only one win away from the figure of 50 wins.
After the Kings, comes Bayern with 97 games at this stage, then Barcelona with 96 games and Manchester United with 67 games and Juventus with 66.
