Real Madrid’s record in the Champions continues: 9 semi-finals in 11 years

No one has reached the semi-finals of the Champions League more often than Real Madrid, 30 times. In fact, the other teams are nowhere near this record.

The second club to reach this stage of the most prestigious European competition is Bayern Munich, with 21 appearances in the semi-finals, followed by Barcelona with 16 and Milan with 12.

Madrid has increased this record in the last decade, reaching the semi-finals nine times in the last 11 years.

While it has been the winner of the Champions League four times in the last 11 years.

It was Jose Mourinho who ended the curse of the quarterfinals for Real Madrid, after reaching the semi-finals in the 2010/11 season with the royal club.

Zidane era

This will be Zinedine Zidane’s fourth semi-final as Real Madrid coach. He had won the past three.

The French coach managed to eliminate Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich at this stage.

Chelsea is the next team he will face in the semi-finals.
