Ronaldo and Pirlo stay at Juventus 100 percent, says the vice president of the club
Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo and Andrea Pirlo will stay at Juventus, but has questioned the future of Paulo Dybala.
Coach Pirlo is facing major criticism after losing 1-0 at home against Benevento. Juve is far behind in the fight for the title in Serie A this season, as it ranks third in the table with 10 points less than the leader Inter.
Moreover, the whites were eliminated from the Champions League very early, after losing against Porto in the 1/8 of the final.
Despite this, Juventus does not want to give up the Ronaldo-Pirlo duo at all.
“Pirlo is and will remain Juventus coach, that is 100 percent certain,” said Nedved.
“We have started a new project with him, knowing that we would face difficulties. We are calm because Pirlo has everything he needs to become a great coach.”
Regarding Ronaldo’s future, which is uncertain, Nedved stressed: “As far as I know, Ronaldo is not leaving. He has a contract with us until June 2022 and he will stay. ”
He, however, cast doubt on Dybala’s future: “His presence would give us more options in attack. He has another year on his contract and I have nothing to add to what Paratici and Agnelli have already said. Juventus will appreciate every opportunity in the market.”
