Ronaldo is the future of Juventus, says the sports director of the club
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo will remain in Turin, saying the whites feel privileged that the Portuguese superstar will represent their future.
Ronaldo had a difficult week, as he was eliminated early from the Champions League for the third time in a row with Juventus.
He was blamed in Italy for the Whites being eliminated from Porto in the 1/8 finals after turning his back on the ball and allowing it to end up in the net after Sergio Oliveiras’s free kick, a goal that secured the Portuguese passage to the quarter-finals.
Consequently, it was rumored that he would leave in the summer and that a return to Real Madrid was possible.
But Paratici insists that Juventus are happy to be able to enjoy Ronaldo and that he will be an important part of the future.
“He (Ronaldo) scored 41 goals in 38 games in 2020. He is the top scorer in Serie A and has won five Golden Balls,” said Paratici.
“We feel privileged to have Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus. We are enjoying him. Is he part of the future? Of course, he represents it,” he added.
