Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has insisted that his team will have to fight hard until the end to win the La Liga title.
After a series of poor results and after the 1: 1 draw with Real Madrid on Sunday, Atletico lost the deep advantage over the rival of the city and Barcelona at the top of the table.
Barcelona are just three points behind Atletico now, while Real are just five points behind.
“We have made great efforts this season that everyone thought we would win the league by 20 points. I do not know what they were thinking when they said this,” said Simeone.
“It will be a difficult road to the end for everyone. We want to improve from last season and we will go to that line,” he added.
