Solskjaer warns Guardiola: The title race is not over
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Manchester City leader his side will not make any concessions in an attempt to put pressure on him in the Premier League title race after the 3-1 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes scored for the Red Devils’ first win in their last three games, while Allan Saint-Maxim scored the only goal for the visitors at Old Trafford.
That victory came after a deep 4-0 triumph against Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday and, according to Solskjaer, United have overcome the failure of past weeks.
But despite the victory, United are 10 points behind leader and rival Manchester City after 25 games.
However, the Norwegian coach does not intend to give up.
“I will not say that it is over until it ends. We have witnessed many teams that have been held, have continued to work and have done their job. Something could happen,” Solskjaer said.
