The irony of Real Madrid fans demanding the return of Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho has topped Real Madrid fan polls as one of the most sought-after candidates to take the place of Zinedine Zidane – writes Marca.
Los Blancos’ bad start to the season has added to the pressure on the French legend, who returned to the Santago Bernabeu to revive the squad.
So far, however, nothing has gone well until the embarrassing defeat by Paris Saint-Germain has made the leaders of the Madrid club think of a substitute.
One of the candidates for the post of coach is Mourinho, who has led the Kings for three seasons (2010-2013). Real fans had also demanded last season that the Portuguese return.
This is ironic because during his last season at the helm of Real Madrid, fans had turned their backs on him and this is one of the reasons for his departure from the Santiago Bernabeu.
