“When I met Zidan I was trembling”
New Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes has revealed he was so nervous when he met coach Zinedine Zidane that he was shaken up.
The 18-year-old joined Real Madrid from Santos in the summer and has already impressed at the Bernabeu, scoring two goals in La Liga and three in the Champions League, surpassing Vinicius Junior.
He did admit, however, that when he first faced the three-time Champions League coach Zidane, he was very nervous.
“When I met Zidan, I began to tremble. I used to watch his videos as a player and now he is my coach. It’s crazy,” said Rodrygo.
“I was very happy to meet him, but I was very nervous,” he added.
