Zidane further and further away from Real Madrid
According to L’Equipe, Zinedane Zidane will leave Real Madrid and Juventus remains the possible destination for the French coach. The French newspaper reports that Zidane will meet with Florentino Perez this week and an official announcement is expected to come soon.
Perez usually plans his future with Real Madrid coaches in the spring and the fact that he did not do so with Zidane shows that he is on the verge of leaving. Real Madrid failed to win a trophy this season, for the first time since the 2009/10 season. Last week, Zidane said Real Madrid would have been better off without him, suggesting he would leave at the end of the season.
Juventus have been closely linked with Zidane, who, in 2001 during his career, left Bianconeri to join the Merengues. Andrea Pirlo won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup this season and managed to qualify Juventus for the Champions League in the final round.
However, Juventus is not the only option for Zidane who has also been linked with the French national team.
